Main Character:

For our main character in our film we wanted to use a person who seemed like the stereotypical 'London Boy.' Of course we had the advantage of living outside London to be picking up habits from London, particularly the way we speak. As a group we decided it would be more affective to just speak in a plain London accent instead of trying to act like we like in London and trying to use all the slang that many of them use. We found that by using one of our colleagues would be more effective as it would make it more effective than having to find someone who could equally have the same accent and act they were from the rough area as they may over exaggerate the character and it wouldn't be right. Another advantage of using someone in the group was that they had a clear idea of how the character should be potrayed instead of over exaggerating the character, as i previously mentioned other actors may have done.
